A new creation

The necessity to be born again was emphasized not by prophets, apostles or by any other human being, but by Jesus Christ himself. Jesus Christ who is the way the truth and the life said that in Jn 3:3 “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again and in Jn 5-6 “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

Words of Jesus Christ clearly speaks to us that when we are born into this world it’s flesh giving birth to flesh and it’s only a physical and an earthy thing. There is this great necessity to be born again or necessity to be born of the spirit to enter the Kingdom of God.

1. For all have sinned.
Pro 20:9 Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?
Gal 3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
Ro 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

2. The Bible, the word of God, clearly states that Jesus Christ is the only way for salvation.
Jn 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Acts 15:11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
Ro 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
He 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.

3. The only way to be born again to be born of the spirit. That is to accept what Christ has done for you on the cross of Calvary and to confess him as your Lord and Savior.
Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (See also 1Cor 1:21, 2 TI 3:15)

4. Salvation cannot be earned by good deeds. It’s purely a gift from God.
Jn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Ro 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Ro 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Co 9:15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.

5. If you have repented for your sins and have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior of your soul, you are born of the spirit. Your inner man, your spirit is reborn. This is what the bible says who you are.

A. You are a new creation.

2 Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new.
Gal; 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
Col 3:10-11 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

B. The eternal life of the Father comes to dwell in you.
1 Jn 1:1-3 1That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

C. You have become a Child of God.
John 1;12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
2 Cor 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

D. You became the righteousness of God.
2 Cor 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Eph 4:21-24when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
1 Cor 6:9-11Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

E. You are now a temple of God.
1 Cor 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

F. You are a Chosen Generation. Royal priest hood, a holy nation.
1 Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
Is 61:6 But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.

G. A Holy and a Great Nation.
Deu 4:7 For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for.

H. You receive eternal life.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

I. You belong to Jesus Christ.

J. You have been brought near to God by the blood of Jesus Christ.
Eph 2:12-13 Remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

K. You receive the Spirit of God.
2 Cor 5 Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

L. Now you can live a more purposeful life by living your life for Christ.
2 Cor 5:15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

M. You are an ambassador for Christ.
2 Cor 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

N. You are a seed of Abraham and an heir according to the promise.
Gal 26-28 or ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

O. You are a light to the world.
Eph 5:8-9 For you were once darkness, but now are you light in the Lord: walk as children of light. (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth)

P. You are a prized possession of God.
James 1:18 He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession.

Q. You are now, born of imperishable seed.
1 Peter 1:23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

R. Marked with the Holy Spirit.
Eph 1:13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,

S. You can live a new life.
Rom 6:3-4 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

T. All provision unto life and godliness is channeled to you.
2 Peter 1:3-4 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.
It is the Almighty God himself that draw us to him by his word and his Spirit. The Holy Spirit opens our hearts to understand scripture and leads us to repentance. The word of God assures to us that Jesus Christ will never ever reject or refuse any sinner who comes to him.

Jn 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
